Essay and report writing are essential skills in almost everyone’s career. This course is for you if you want to polish and tighten up your academic or career writing skills.
This is a Zoom workshop that is part of our newly launched “Back to Basics” series of courses offered by LUX. Whittier College Professor Dr. Ralph Isovitsch leads this particular offering. The workshop will be made up of two 1.5-hour lectures on Zoom.
Crafting clear and concise essays and reports is a skill that can set you apart in any professional or academic environment. In this course, we will review and practice the construction of succinct sentences, engaging paragraphs, and essays that will communicate what you want them to in an easy-to-understand fashion. We will learn by doing in this course. Your work will undergo peer review as well as critique by the instructor. Students in this course can bring their own writing project or work on prompts provided by the instructor.

Dr. Isovitsch has been a professor of Chemistry at the College since 2005, most of that time has been spent teaching organic chemistry, labs, and leading research teams of students.
